It's raining frogs Alleluia!!!

On may of 1981, the inhabitants of the city of Nafplion, in the south of Greece were woken up by a rain of frogs. Thousands of these frogs fell down from the sky and started to jump in the middle of the streets.
The scientists of the Athin meteorology's institute, explanated this strange event with a twister from the north of Africa that had literally sucked the frogs from a swamp and pushed them for thousads of kilometers through the Mediterrean sea, left them fall down on Nafplion.
Curious fact, only a few of them died during this "travel", most of them adapt themselves in the new enviroment, instead the inhabitants complained because of the noise made by the frogs in the night.

Mokele Mbembe

A lot of times people thought about the existence of living dinosaurs in remotes places like rainforests.
The first real evidences of this theory came out in 1913, during a german expedition in the Lukouala region, in Congo. This expedition showed a report about a big animale that lived in the main rivers of this zone, and this animal was called "Mokele Mbembe" by pigmyies.
They said that his colour was dark grey, with a flat leather, big as an elephant. Somebody said that his neck is very long and that has a long tooth or horn, and a tail like crocodiles.
Some years after the WWI, there where some reports, in Congo, near the Bangweulu lake, that turned out to be fakes. An explorer, Leon von Boxberger, that traveled through Camerun said that the natives believed in the existence of a huge acquatic animal, with a very long neck near the Congo river.

Popobawa the Zanzibar's Demon

Popobawa is a Demon or an evil spirit which is supposed to live in Zanzibar.His name is taken from swahili ( popo=bat, bawa=wing).
Witnesses says that Popobawa is like a midget with bats wings and with only one eye.
He attacks at night, immobilizing his victims and sodomizing them, menacing the victims to tell what happened to a lot of people, otherwise he will come back.
The panic influenced even the elections, infacts the prime minister of Zanzibar, accused the opposition to be the reason for the acts of this Demon, while the opposition claimed the in reality the prime minister was the Popobawa.

Leonarda Cianciulli, The Correggio's Soap-maker

Leonarda Cianciulli (November 14, 1893 -  October 15, 1970) was an Italian serial killer. Better known as the "Soap-Maker of Correggio", she murdered three women in Correggio between 1939 and 1940, and turned their bodies into soap.Her Mother, Emilia Marano, was obliged to marry Mariano Cianciulli by her parents, after he kidnapped and raped her. Maybe for this reason she never had a good relation with her daughter Leonarda.Leonarda's childhood was very unhappy, and when she was a kid she attempted the suicide two times trying to hung herself.In 1914 She married a man Raffaele Pansardi, against the parent's will, the day before the marriage her mother damned her.During the marriage Leonarda had 17 pregnancies, but only four babies survived.After some years, her husband became an alchoholic and left the family, so the 4 sons were all that Leonarda had, and she did anything for her sons.During the 1939, her first son, was studying at the Milan's University, and risked to be called to join the army.In order to avoid this, Leonarda took the decision to do human sacrificies, but Leonarda didn't kill in order to save her sons, when she killed the first time the WWII had still to come.Leonarda killed three women, each one has in common that were not young anymore, alone, unhappy about the village's life and everyone of them wanted to create a new life in another place.The fisrt victim of Leonarda was Faustina Setti, she was 70, analphabet, and romantic. Leonarda's trap consisted in saying to Faustina that she has found a man for her in another village. Leonarda convinced her to not say anything about this to her relatives and friends.the day before to reach this man, Faustina went to Leonarda's house, in order to write a delegation for allowing Leonarda to handle her wealth. But after the sign of the delegation, Leonarda killed Faustina with an Axe, after this, she cutted the body in 9 parts and put all the parts in a big pot. She added 7 kg of sodium hydroxide, and throwed away all in a cesspit, she mixed the remining blood with flour, sugar,
 milk, chocolate and eggs, and made a lot of pastries that she ate and that she offered to neighbours and friends.The Second victim was Francesca Clementina Soavi, she was a kindgargen teacher, and Leonarda promised to find her a Job in a female college in Piacenza, Leonarda asked to don't say nothing to her relatives and friends, before to be sure to have had the job.Leonarda like in the previous homicide, took al the money of the woman.The last victim is Virginia Cacioppo, she was a famous soprano, Leonarda in her memorial wrote that she ended in the pot like others two women, but her meat was white and fat, and with her body she made fantastic pastries and creamy soaps.

Leonarda was condamned to 30 years to spent in a prison, she died at the age of 77 in Pozzuoli's prison for a stroke.
